Hi Eve, "To Dream the impossible Dream..." might well be my favorite song. I actually heard it sung on Broadway about forty years ago in The Man of LaMancha! I have played the piano (not nearly as well as you) at nursing homes and then I've shared my story of knowing what it is to be confined and in a wheelchair. The joy comes in watching a glimmer of hope tranform to the countenances of the patients. And then they grasp onto me and share their troubles. Funny thing - when I step out to help others, I'm actually the one who gets the blessing!
You're quite the entrepreneur solving a problem for society. I was addicted to canasta 60 years ago. I really enjoyed the card game, but as you say, it was sloppy. Best Wishes to you and all at the senior center.
