- I am passionate about completing my first novel which is nearing the end; and I have started my second book also. I am passionate about becoming a published author.
- What makes you a valuable networking contact?
- I have acquired business skills; I am a prolific writer; I am computer literate, and a great researcher.
- How did you become involved in your current position? If you’re an entrepreneur, what inspired you to start your own company?
- When I was forced out of New Orleans by the ravishing flood waters of Hurricane Katrina, I ended up in this small town of Simmesport. Not knowing what I was going to do here, since there was no jobs available, I starred out of my front door and looked at the trees, I then got that initial spark to put pen to paper. I began my journey starting to write monthly newsletters and I have been doing so for 3 years now. I also write articles for websites, and I have started to write articles for my local newspaper. I am writing my first novel and is nearing the end and has begun the second novel.

These are the pictures of my community
These pictures gives you an idea of how I got started in freelance writing. As I mentioned in my Bio, I was forced out of the city of New Orleans by the floodwaters of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Six months later into to my stay in the country, far from my hurricane ravished home, I lacked a job and transportation. I was a long way from everything I had ever known. I sought help from God, asking one night, "What am I going to do here?" I woke up the next morning stared out at the trees in front of my home . Something about the trees that sparked my imagination, I grabbed a pen and a piece of paper. I wrote six pages nonstop without even thinking about it. The next day I wrote ten pages. I got a lot out of this community. I write newsletters, articles, and very soon will have my first novel and my writing business off the ground. A city girl living in the country. I call this community my writers resort. My novel will blend images from my life in New Orleans with my new life in Canadaville.

I have just ended my first Book!
I have ended my first book and well on my way with the second book. So, I gave myself a pat on the back, for accomplishing this long journey. Now, I am back to work on my second Book.

Launching Website
I am in the process of launching my own website, and I am very excited about it. I have quite of few goals;that's in the process. My first novel will be ending soon as well. This was a long journey for first novel, but second novel seems to be coming along easier. I am surrounded with wonderful ideas and is willing to share with others and I am ready to receive any information that is helpful in building my success as well.
