What are you passionate about?
I am passionate empowering students from underrepresented groups, which includes but is not limited to, students with disabilities. I am passionate about promoting and embracing diversity.
What makes you a valuable networking contact?
I have significant experience working with and mentoring students with disabilities in an academic environment. I have also provided leadership in services and alternative learning spaces in academic libraries for students with disabilities. I also have experience providing disability sensitivity training.
How did you become involved in your current position? If you’re an entrepreneur, what inspired you to start your own company?
Yes I Can! Consulting is inspired by my desire to see students with disabilities succeed academically and professionally just as I was able to. I want to help them feel empowered to succeed, with the ultimate goal of living independently to the greatest expense possible. I purpose to provide genuine and empathetic support. In spite of our disability we are able to achieve the unexpected!
