What are you passionate about?
Providing empathetic information to all who are newly diagnosed with breast cancer -- our motto is:
Breast Cancer -- Do it Yourself -- But Not Alone
We are there for you 24/7 on the web.
What makes you a valuable networking contact?
When panic and terror sets in after THE DIAGNOSIS,
women are best helped by talking to someone who has experienced what she will experience, through surgery, treatments, and when treatment ends and the rest of your life begins. We are here for those, who want to talk to someone, but want to do it privately -- on the internet!
How did you become involved in your current position? If you’re an entrepreneur, what inspired you to start your own company?
Several years ago, my web-designer and I lost a mutual friend to breast cancer. I continued to counsel patients, and one day Karen Case (My web designer) told me that I needed to spread my knowledge and understanding of the problems faced, further than my local area. She was my guiding light to start the website in 2008, and we incorporated in 2009 - so that we could provide products on- line to patients who need what we offer. We now are viewed by over 50 countries, and have been translated into many languages, the last one was Arabic. It is so rewarding to me to know that I am now able to help folks world wide.
Offering (Products, services, expertise, etc. you or your company can offer others)
We have a group of women volunteers that are sewing mastectomy pillows for distribution to surgical patients
