I enjoy my home and my daughter,Jaina-- life in Real Estate, and my time doing the Young Lion's Youth Ministry Program in Yakima County Youth Detention. I love making my garden grow..but cannot seem to grow sunflowers! I love public speaking, especially centering around my newest book, ANGEL PROMISES...REMEMBERING THE YOUNGEST FIREFIGHTER. What makes you a valuable networking contact?
I have areas of specialty..I can network with other very fine CRS Realtors around the USA to accomplish any one's Real Estate needs. In the area of at At-Risk Youth, I am the author of EXTREME TEEN RESCUE, the manual for the Young Lion's Youth Ministry Program, which can be done by caring individuals in their local youth detention center, anywhere.
I am also an advocate for greater firefighter safety after the true life experience of THE THIRTYMILE FIRE, and the loss of my youngest daughter, a firefighter in that historic episode. So I am an expert and speaker in a few specialized areas..such as health and anti-aging. I produced a nationally syndicated television around this idea in the 1980's.
How did you become involved in your current position? If you’re an entrepreneur, what inspired you to start your own company?
I am the CEO and originator of the Young Lion's Youth Ministry Program. I kept going since 1997, as it was a great help in successfully turning at-risk youth around. Also, I have worked in Real Estate since 1994 as an independent contractor. I am also the owner of Associated West Properties LLC, which are income properties.

Those of us who get social security may have to get a new plan!

Well Boys and Girls..it lools like this could be it. According to recent news and reports some social security checks will begin to shrink by Sept.30th this year, and we may all be bust by 2013! Not good news.

As for me, I am starting to spend more time with the Lifetime Income Report by Jim Nelson to discover sound alternate investing..and yes, some of it is outside the USA. There is a little too much commotion going on, and a few too many stock crashes for…

Hi Deborah:

The two books are completely different. I have a web page www.younglions.org, which is overdue to be updated. I tried this year, but my original designer moved away and I just re-located him...so soon, it will be. EXTREME TEEN RESCUE is the most extensive work in youth detention ministry available. Networking has been big. The fact that I was on the cover of The International Bible Society magazine/catalog a few years ago, was also big. TV interviews have helped. It's more of a training program, and I may be getting a grant this year to expand training in more locations around the Northwest. The program is currently done by many around the USA, Canada and overseas who work in this type of ministry to incarcerated teens in youth detention.
ANGEL PROMISES has not realized it's full potential, until I get the right agent to help me market it to a more mainstream publisher. That will take a little time. Book store owners and managers order robotically these days. They put out whatever the mainstream publishers send them. .When THE THIRTYMILE FIRE by John N. Maclean becomes a movie, interest will skyrocket, as she is one of the main characters in the true life story.. It really doesn't matter how good a book is. It's Marketing. I have been to the big Christian book Expos, but they are not as heavily attended as in the past. Personally I need to finish the other book, COME AWAY..which is the story of her death in the Thirtymile Fire, and the story of her life and who she was..a very inspirational 18 yr old who still speaks to teens today in ANGEL PROMISES. I will do more speaking in the ACSI Christian schools and seek to market through their system of 5,000 schools, since they like me and the message of ANGEL PROMISES. what have you found to be the most effective way to market your book?
