I will be attending the LA Times Book Festival 4/24-25, and will be doing a one hour book signing sometime that weekend. I haven't been told what time I'm scheduled. If any of you are in the area, please stop by and say hello.

You might want to contact Write Life.,www.writelife.com. There are no upfront costs. As I understand it you get paid once the publisher has recouped the publishing costs.

Hi Paula, and welcome. If you are preaching sermons, I assume you are a minister. If so, I'll bet you have lots of stories about people you've worked with. Find something that touches you, something you can be excited/passionate…

Joe, I agree with you about Eloquent. Finding an agent isn't a guarantee either. I went the agent route first with my second book, they recommenced Strategic (of which Eloquent is the 'self publishing' arm). Also, it seems to me the…

I have to agree with Robert about marketing. Outskirts Press provided many 'how to's' to do your own marketing. Eloquent was somewhat more helpful in providing some visual aids at no cost for your marketing. Bad news here is they were…

Hi Robert. Your book sounds like a good read. I empathize with your frustration over sales. I've had two books published, one completely self published through Outlook Express, the second with Eloquent Books, a subsidiary of Strategic Book.…

Joyce I Dunn replied to Claire Power Murphy's discussion 'With an Ever-Increasing Spotlight, Why Is HEALTHcare So Important?'
I agree with what you've said. The cost of medical care is outrageous. Especially when you realize other countries provide as good, often much better, health care at much less cost. We DO NOT have the "best health care in the world."…

Book marketing

Hi everyone,

I had a novel published last August. I've gotten some really nice comments about it from those who have read it. Several people even said they sat down to read for a short while, and couldn't quit until they had finished the book.

I find myself needing to find ways to increase the marketing of this book, an area of expertise I'm sadly lacking. :)

If anyone has any ideas for me, I'd be grateful for the feedback. You can find more information about Belle: Rebel… Continue
