Hello Donna:
I'm a social worker, working for the Fond du Lac Band (near Duluth-Cloquet) here in MN. I'm also on the Board of the MN Fathers & Families Network, which encourages the involvement of healthy fathers in the lives of their children.

Aside from this, I am a regular traveler to Peru, where my wife's family is from. Perhaps it is the "social worker" in me that wants to do this, but I'm beginning to learn about how to develop/establish a foundation here in the U.S. to benefit Peruvian children and families. I love the people of Peru, and with so much poverty there, I feel the need to try doing something. A foundation - even something small - would allow me to try sharing some of America's wealth. So thats the dream anyway....

I took a look at the PGC site, which is interesting. Looks like some great work. Does this allow you to travel?

My daughte is 16 and loves this computer. She is in jounalism and likes to remind me of format and spacing while I'm writing novels or books. I just had a novel published, my first with publish america this summer it was very exciting. I'm working on another novel , and unfortunately or fortunately whichever way you look at it work, in MI is slow and the economy here, has been hit real hard by the auto industry. I never thought being a nurse work would be slow. Unfortunately they want you to hire in part-time but work you full-time so they don't have to pay you benefits. Hope to hear from you Soon. From Ava

Hi Donna,

I'm sorry I haven't been on the computer much lately. I appreciate you reaching out to me! I just got my New York State Professional Teaching Certification and in the process of applying for a recipricol certificate for Georgia. I'm nervous about leaving New York, but I guess confidence and the power of positive thinking goes a long way too in these economic times. I will be in touch; thank you again!

You really have been around the world! The work you do sounds really rewarding. My kids are 5 and 8. The family trip sounds interesting. How old do kids have to be to participate and what kind of things do you do?
