Consider entering them in the National Indie Excellence Awards contest, for independently published books. I just won an award with them for my children's book, Ballad of the Rag Man, and now bookstores have a new reason to stock it.

I found your suggestions to be excellent. The key to getting your book into the public eye is taking it to them. The energy needed is considerable, but it is pretty much the best way to make it happen unless you have a huge PR budget and a famous…

Cindy, try hooking up with the domestic violence network in your area and have a fund raiser for them, donate part of every book sold to them. Then try see if that org can sponsor you on a larger network, statewide etc.

Hi Cynthia, I did check out your son's website and I saw your books there. If you would like me to review any of those, let me know, and I'll be happy to do so. Your son seems to publish chapter books. I did not see any children's picture books. Do you know if he would have any interest in publishing children's picture books? I am working on a manuscript for a chapter book, so I may still contact him once that is done. Thanks again for telling me about him.
