What are you passionate about?
Writing is my number one passion, with nursing having an important part in my life.
What makes you a valuable networking contact?
My first book, FRONT ROW CENTER, has won the 2008 IPPY Award in romance. This is a prestigious award with 3175 global entries.

I also hold many nursing certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, BLS instructor (AHA), and Registered Nurse Certified in Med-Surg (ANCC).
How did you become involved in your current position? If you’re an entrepreneur, what inspired you to start your own company?
Barry Manilow inspired me to venture head-long into the literary realm, with his advice "Follow your dream" and "Take a chance". So, that's exactly what I did, and I haven't regretted a single moment. Writing in such a way that people FEEL something is my goal--to stir emotions and to provide a wonderful fantasy that the reader gets caught up in.
If you have had the opportunity to participate in the Cambridge Who’s Who Teleseminar Series, please share what you have learned.
The up hill climb in the literary world with all the lessons I've learned.

Hi Cynthia,

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! I saw Barry Manilow on the Jay Leno show a few nights ago singing a Christmas song. It was great. Hope you are doing well. My band is going to be playing New Years Eve at a small town bar here in Minnesota called Forada Liquor. I'll raise a toast to you!! Have a great new year!!

Hi Cynthia,
How are things going? I'd love to give you a good recommendation on Linked In, but I still haven't finished your book. I've been busy with my job at the grocery store. I just joined Linked In because tax season is coming soon, and I just updated my accounting website. I joined BLACKSTARTUPBIZ a while ago but I still haven't tried to get an interview. I did get a song of mine played on another radio website called soundmachine.com because I'm networking with a internet DJ on myspace. Hope all is well. Talk to you soon.

Hi Cynthia,

How did the Radio Show go? I have been very busy, haven't had much time to read. I went to an 80th birthday party for a well-liked former music store owner and it was a blast. There were a lot of musicians there, and it was great. I think I'll go out to a club soon and rock with some people in the biz. I've been getting emails. Hope all is well. Talk to you soon.

Hi Cynthia,

I have seen that you've posted your press release. Once I get a chance I will definitely let you know what I think. I haven't gotten a chance to read Front, Row, Center yet. I did however, read a few paragraphs here and there and think it's fantastic. Once I have time to read more, I will definitely give you my feedback. I've relocated recently from New York to Louisiana so I'm still settling in. Hope all is well with you!

Thanks, Les. I'll spread the word for you, too! Critics? Yeah, I've had a couple of hits, too! One lady thought I was promoting infidelity (she never read the book, and obviously only read a portion of the press release). My book brings out the consequences of such choices. "Taylor Allen" pays a very steep price for the choice she made.

Glad you kept in touch.

You can call me Les. I really don't mind the exposure regarding my CD. Every sale is gold. It may open some doors for me in the future. My songs have already been criticized pretty heavily, but I asked for it and it's a learning experience. You've got to consider the source. Hey, everybody's a critic.

You're right about the economy. It's going to get better. I love your marketing, and congratulations on your award!! I'll spread the word about your book.

Sincerely,
Les

And thanks so much for autographing the book. I will let you know how I like the book, and I'd love to hear what you think of my music too!!
