What are you passionate about?
My family, art, and literature. I would love to spend more time watching contemporary ballet. I’m also passionate about music. I was passionate about writing poetry when I was younger. A poem I wrote in 1979, "The lark Ascending,’ was published in the 2002 International library of Poetry Anthology titled The Solace of Night by Watermark Press.
What makes you a valuable networking contact?
With more than 31 years of service in the field of graphic design, I understand what small businesses are looking for in the way of design; an image that best represents your business and products and conveys to your customers quality, service and reliability.
How did you become involved in your current position? If you’re an entrepreneur, what inspired you to start your own company?
I was born with this desire; I’ve been creating artwork all my life. My parents and my grandmother always encouraged me. My sister, who works as an interior designer in Baltimore, has always been into art as well. She bought me my first set of oil paints when I was nine years old. When I was in high school, I substituted study hall with time in the art department painting. It’s probably 99% desire and 1% dexterity. It’s certainly a passion. My modicum of success comes from my being blessed with the creative ability to conceive ideas along with the technical ability and volition to give form to those ideas. All that I am I owe to the endless blessings the holy One has showered upon me.
