My favorite vacation spot is the UK. Particularly I love Scotland, Cornwall, Northern Wales and Yorkshire. I have traveled to many other countries, but UK is my favorite. I will be travelling there again next month for the Christmas holiday.

Wonderful. I own a travel agency. Do you? If you are not a travel agent, I invite you to visit www.travelwiththewind.info and watch the quick 10 min. video. I think you'll be impressed with the terrific benefits associated with owning your own travel agency. Tax advantages, great discounts, and earning up to 70% commission is a wonderful way to travel, live your dreams, and help offset the effects of the current economic times.

Tell me more about the UK and what you like about it. Do you have favorite places you like to stay? What are your favorite things to do while you are there? If you are comfortable with it, I would enjoy seeing pictures. Glad you have joined the vacation club! If I can be of any assistance or service, including doing some price comparisons, checking for discounts etc., please let me know...or better yet, click on www.travelwiththewind.com .

Keep in touch. I look forward to hearing from you.
Hi Karen,

I have always wished to be a travel agent. I will definitely check out the website you mentioned. Thanks for the information. It has always been a dream of mine to make a living by helping others with their travel plans. I do work full time as a counselor, but I would like to do this as well.

The UK is such a mix of cultural influences. The Scottish Highlands are magnificent, Glencoe is one of my favorite spots. It is a great place to hike and the place is famous for the massacre that occurred there. It is a sad place, but beautiful as well. Loch Katrine has to be the most beautiful place to walk in Scotland. Cornwall is full of quaint and interesting fishing villages. I love Port Isaac and Tintagel. Another favorite place in Cornwall is the Minack Theatre. It is an outdoor theatre that has play throughout the summer. I have seen Fiddler on the Roof and Blythe Spirit there. Both play were of a very high caliber. Fowey is also very scenic as there are many sailboats in the harbor.

I have a friend who lives in York and the town is probably the best tudor example in England. Of course, it is famous for it's minster. Surrounding York are very interesting abbey ruins like Rievaulx and Fountains Abbey. One of the towns to visit in the area is Whitby. It is known for it's abbey and that is the place that inspired Bram Stoker to write Dracula.

For castles, I love Northern Wales. Mostly, I like to visit the castle of Edward II. Some of my favorites are Conwy, Caernarfon and Beaumaris. Northern Wales has a feeling all it's own. It is very rugged and the history is fascinating. Scotland has some great castles as well. I like Glamis, Blair, Edinburgh and Stirling Castles. Stay in touch. I would love to talk about my travels to UK and other countries in Europe. My pictures were taken on a regular camera and I have negatives. Sometime soon, I will buy a digital camera. I could attempt to scan some pictures and send them to you.
