Claire, I like your ideas about 'Project Pen'; however, do keep in mind some of us (me) do not write in just one genre. This has always been a problem for me. In fact, bookstores rarely place my historical fiction in the right location. There is no "historical fiction" section. So A CRUEL CALM, Paris Between the Wars gets lost in the strickly history aisle. MYTH, MAGIC, and METAPHOR, A Journey into the Heart of Creativity rarely finds a place. And so it goes. Only mysteries, fiction, thrillers, etc, seem to present themselves front and center.

Congratulations, Rev. Grey, on your book. I would also agree that writing your feelings down helps to confront them so you can sort them out and see what can be done to change your circumstances.

I have to agree with Rev. Sinclair...writers do express theirselves through the technology of writing.  Sometimes its easier to write on paper what we need to say!  I often wonder what a person is thinking when I see an unhappy face,  Yesterday one my granddaughters had a frown on her face.  I said to her, "I would rather see a smile on your face than a frown."  At that very moment, I should have handed her a pencil and journal so she could have written down on paper what was bothering her.  She would have had her feeling on paper instead the expression on her face.  I purchase journals for my grandchildren.  I hope they use them to write and express what they are thinking, feeling...its a good way of healing an inner feeling thats bothering you.

Too many people have neglected putting thoughts, ideas, and opinions on paper. While it's good using technology to write, there's still something special about using a journal and pen to express oneself.  We must never forget the importance of writing. It's through writing that healing occurs. It's through writing that one is free to express himself/herself. And it's through writing that changes begins to take place.
