Personal Branding through Global Networking

Much discussion in our society has concentrated on the subject of disease. The focus of this group will be on HEALTH and the means of obtaining and enhancing it. In other words, we will focus on the positive as we move towards it.
"It is not enough to talk about how to extend insurance coverage and how to pay for health - care as important as those things are. It makes no sense just to figure out a better way to pay the bills for a system that is dysfunctional, ineffecive, and broken. We also have to change the health care system itself, beginning with a sharp new emphasis on prevention and public health". Sen.Tom Harkin D-Iowa

There are many definitions of health. Some say, health is a positive concept emphasizing social and personal resources, as well as physical capacities, while others say health is the over all state of physical, mental, and social well being and not just the absence of disease. The list goes on.

My opinion is that it is the amalgamation of such plausible definition. Shifting America is great, Claire- only will it really happen?))
Wonderful Comment and Question! IT will happen once we have identified what health is, and begin to engage in positive progressive conversation about the possibilites that it represents for each one of us and for society - on ALL levels and most assuredly on our economy. A good start is with a statement by T.L. Nichols taken from Esoteric Anthropology, New York: Stringer and Townsend, 1853, p.227 quoted on the final page of my "award-'winning" book, Preserved to Serve. :
"It is time to set a standard for achievement in health. The following, furnished by a doctor, provides an excellent checklist to determine where you are on your journey toward improved health:"Our medical books are filled with descriptions, sympoms, and causes of disease. I wish, if possible, to give a clear desciption, enumerate the symptoms, and guide my reader to a knowledge of the conditions of Health:
THE SYMPTOMS OF HEALTH
HEALTH, in a human being, is the perfection of bodily organization, intellectual energy, and moral power.
HEALTH is the fullest expression of all the faculties and passions of man, acting together in perfect harmony.
HEALTH is entire freedom from pain of body and discordance of mind.
HEALTH is beauty, energy, purity, holiness, happiness.
HEALTH is that condition in which man is the highest known expression of the power and goodness of his Maker.
When a man is perfect iin his own nature, body, and soul, perfect iin their harmonious adaptations and action, and living in perfect harmony with nature, with his fellow man, and with God, he may be said to be in a state of HEALTH.
How do you measure up? In answering the question you may notice some shortcomings. That is the first step. I hope that this response encourages all members of this group to follow the guidelines which includes becoming thoroughly acquainted with Preserved to Serve and the upgraded website: www.selfref.com
It will be helpful when the insurance companies accept all comers, with the provision that they demonstrate ongoing evidence of pursuing a healthy lifestyle!
As seen first on Cambridge Who's Who! Problem-solving for the Health and Wealth of the Nation:
The insurance companies will need to take everyone who is seeking insurance.
But then, in order to keep it, participants will need to demonstrate that they are upgrading their health.
Blood chemistry is a great way to have a standard masurement for same!
As per "award-winning" Preserved to Serve, every newborn needs to have a blood test.
Also, every applicant for insurance will need to have a recent blood test on file prior to becoming insured.
Progress may be measured from thereon in.
