Personal Branding through Global Networking

Hey guys, I don't know about you but I am really at a stale mate. I haven't made any sales at all for months. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make it through this financial crunch and come out shining on the other side. Something that would be a hand up and not require a hand out first?

Hey Denise, we're all in this together. Myself, I've been working in a grocery store since Thanksgiving, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. But I'm paying the bills and I have food to eat and I'm warm. I have my business dreams----I saved up and finally purchased the tax software I needed to take care of my customers this season. Hopefully I'll get some new customers as well. I've been taking a lot of good advice from people and trying to apply it to my own business. You just have to be realistic about what you can do. Everybody talks about growing their business, but I don't think anyone is as big as they want to be. It's all about helping people, and I just want to say that you really helped me, and I appreciate it. Did you get that job at Starbucks? Dream on...I'm discovering some of my favorite music---like Aerosmith or Brad Paisley, for example. You can't start at the top, like they say. It takes a lot of work to get there, and that's about all it is---more work. Keep smiling!!
Hi Lester,
Great feedback. I kind of feel like the odd one here. My business is booming and I am connecting with lots of people. I really believe in "giving" not getting and therefore constantly reach out to help others. I meet weekly with a wonderful mentor who is a millionnaire (several times over). I have learned a ton of information from him and others and love to share ideas with others. My part-time business is soaring. I have ZERO overhead and am attracting quite a lot of contacts and referrals every day. I frequently listen to lots of personal development materials and am thrilled at the results of applying the principles in not only my professional life but my personal life as well. More importantly, I love helping others reach their goals and dreams. It is so rewarding to serve others. If you know of anyone who is interested in a business opportunity that really...really...works, let me know. I only begain this recently. In the last 2 months I have acquired over 50 new customers. What I am doing is the "Real Deal". Feel free to have people contact me at kksangels@cox.net
I'm just a guy from central MN. We're seeing some businesses go under. We're seeing layoffs and we're hearing that profits are down. There's still a lot of major companies and major corporations and lot of smaller and midsize companies that are doing quite well. Economics is often called the "dismal science." Trucks, planes, trains, and cars are still moving, and goods and services are still being made, delivered, and sold. Which companies are going to come out ahead is largely a matter of their individual strategies to compete, find their individual niches, and gain market share. Which industries will gain the most from political strategies because of their lobbying efforts are banking, auto manufacturing, and energy. Hopefully, we will find money for education, healthcare, and social programs somewhere in this puzzle. Construction and housing will come around eventually when we get out of the credit crisis. For someone who needs some sales, answer these questions: "Who are your customers?" "Where do you find them?" "Are you marketing locally or everywhere?" I came across a new lead today (because of the internet)---a company located in Philadelphia, PA---he left me his phone number. I called him up---he knew who I was---but he agreed that the distance between us was too great for us to do business, and said he would find someone locally. Even with the internet, if you can't find customers locally, you won't magically find them on the internet.
Good article. Thought provoking! I will have to put it to prayer. Am I doing all that I can in my local economy to make a mark? Thanks for your encouragement!
Denise,

Hi Denise,
I have been lucky enough to find a fantastic direct sales business that is booming in this down economy. I came into this three years ago and each year my business has doubled. I work for an amazing company that actually does best in a bad economy. I work part time hours and make full time money. I have fun at what I do and enjoy sharing this wonderful opportunity with others. There are no territories and no quotas. Being your own boss is a wonderful thing and I have met so many exciting people. I do a lot of networking and even have networking nights at my home which has really helped my business tremendously. My product is consumable so once they try it they are back for more. If you are interested contact me at kathy@kathycarlin.com
