Personal Branding through Global Networking

Cambridge Who's Who

If you are an entrepreneur or small business owner, how do you brand your company?

I'm more interested in building a brand for my business. Since I am an entrepreneur my personal brand is also my corporate brand. Is developing my personal brand the same as creating my corporate brand?

The concepts of personal branding and corporate branding are analogous. The difference: personal branding focuses on an individual’s values, achievements and strengths while corporate branding focuses on a company’s core competency. Apply the same strategies that you use for personal branding to help your company gain market recognition, generate new business and distinguish itself from its competitors.

Hi Deborah,

After struggling with the concept of branding and online visibility while starting my own business, I recently developed a short E-book to help do just that for those new to the cyber world.

I found the process of learning how to create online visibility challenging, yet the results were very rewarding.

The book is called "Branding Your Business Name" via Internet Marketing, and includes a variety of sites that I found very useful in getting my business name to the top of the search engines. I even included Cambridge as a resource based on the great visibility this organization provides to members in a "Google" search.

The guide can be located on my website at www.parkercprw.com (Links Tab, Brand Your Business).

How do I brand our company?

OK, I recently started an online store - www.easybuynetwork.com - and I have taken several steps towards effectively branding our company. I got us business cards, I have my website address in my signature in every written communication I send out. I have a company email address - monica.freitas@easybuynetwork.com. I upload my logo instead of my own picture at every networking site I belong to, including this one and CWW. My SEO efforts have branding all over them... I know I am "missing" several other ways of doing it, every article I read seems to require a 34hr-day in which you would do nothing but submit your site to this or that directory, or blog, or answer to posts, etc. I have a brand new business I need to grow, how am I supposed to find the time to do all this???
Anyway, what other strategies are you folks employing? What's working and what's not?

Have an Easy one,
Monica Freitas

Thanks Monica!
So much to learn and implement. One needs a powerful motivation, like helping others, and the rest follows.

I brand my product by wearing clothes that have the product on it or I hand out business cards, ask people if they have heard of MonaVie, Posters or banners, Vehicle wrap or signs on the car. There are many ways that I brand my business and still more ways are available.
