Personal Branding through Global Networking

I know that I am very knowledgeable in my field and have plenty of experience in my expertise but why should I position myself as an expert? What will it do for me? What if I don't feel I am qualified to be an expert in my field?

By positioning yourself as an expert in your field, you will gain valuable exposure for yourself and your business. Review Cambridge’s suggestions on how to achieve expert status and take the steps necessary to build your expertise in your profession, market or industry.

There is no shortcut to becoming an expert. You may not feel like you are an expert but knowledge coupled with experience is the only formula to becoming a valuable resource in your industry. However, the sooner you begin to work towards expert status, the faster you will achieve your goal. Determine your strengths, research your product or service offerings and conduct due diligence on your competition. Decide what will make you, your business and your product the best solution and start capitalizing on those strengths today. The best way to become an industry leader, attract new clients or expand your career options is to position yourself visibly as an expert in your field. Gaining knowledge and experience in a particular area will encourage others to seek out your services and add you to their professional network.

Positioning yourself as an expert will also help you to earn the trust and respect of your peers, gain valuable exposure for your business and earn additional revenue through consulting and speaking engagements. While your colleagues and clients may already turn to you for expert advice, invest time and resources into increasing the number of people who consider you to be an authority in your field.

"Expert" is a rather new word to my everyday vocabulary. Fortunately, I'm coachable!

Thanks to Cambridge Who's Who - especially their online social network, Connect, I am now aware that:
Knowledge + Experience = Expert which is evident in my "award-winning" book, Preserved to Serve.
What makes me a unique resource is that I have personally experienced most of the problems of my clients,
and, most importantly, I've overcome them progressing to a higher level each and every year!

I now realize that I have both the knowledge and experience to qualify the Self Rejuvenation Center for EXPERT status!

I am a Marketing Expert and now train people. Most folks change their focus and career every 10 years. Fortunately, I found that I can have 2 careers. I had 2 careers from 2001 to 2006. I had a career in government and a career in cosmetics.

This defined the foundation for my career today. I also worked for companies that would pay me to learn specifically Whole Foods Market. I received training, books and product. Today, I am the Vice President of Marketing for RHWI.
